CHROMOPHARE? D 650
Surround light The CHROMOPHARE? D 650/650 is a dual light combination designed to satisfy the most demanding of surgical procedures. This ombination is an ideal lighting system for cardiovascular procedures. These two lights, of equal performance, are capable of illuminating two surgical sites with an outstanding 150,000 Lux each. These newly developed lighting characteristics not only provide a brilliantly lighted surgical site, but a balancing of overall illumination in the total operative field. Through the use of an additional reflector, the general area surrounding the table is illuminated, resulting in the reduction of the stressful extremes of light contrast a real benefit to the surgical team! |

Beautiful with Top Performance
The CHROMOPHARE?D 650 is a perfect union of design and function:
The dome of the light is molded of impact resistant plastic, which prevents dents and paint peeling or chipping.
The reduced weight of the body of the light allows for feather-light adjustment.
Adjustment is by either an externalring for non-sterile personnel, or a removable sterilisable light handle inthe center.
The sterilisable handle with quick release button has a large collar to protect against accidental glove contamination.

Secondary, operating field illumination
Modern operating lights have a high output of upto 150,000 Lux, whereas the are amme diatelysurrounding the operating table is illuminatedonly by the normal operating theatre lighting at around 1,000 Lux. An optical daptation of150:1 is thus required of the surgeon and immediate operating team who are endeavouring to concentrate on their work within the operating field. Inevitably, this ituation can quickly lead to eye strain To combat this negative effect, the new polygonal reflector of the CHROMOPHARE?D 650 produces a secondary area of boosted illumination around the immediate operating area. Within this area, the normal room lighting is augmented and increased up to 5,000 Lux. The three dimensional profile of the field illumination shows as a plateau rather than a continual reduction of the strongly lit area. This plateau is the so-called secondary field of illumination and reduces the degree of eye adaptation required to 30:1. Eye strain for the operating team is thereby reduced while allowing excellent vision for fine instrument adjustment etc. outside the immediate operating area. |

Polygonal Reflector System with "Lightbooster"
The 400 reflector elements are arranged in 5 horizontal and 80 vertical zones. Via a double optical arrangement consisting of "H" and "Z" reflectors and a mirror reflected output, a light emission equivalent to 800 elements is achieved in the operating field. An optimal, shadowless illumination is thus accomplished in the deepest of wounds. Further, this double optical arrangement allows for the construction of an extremely "flat" reflector and a consequent reduction in the size of the operating lamp itself. The use of improved reflector materials have additionally enhanced the entire system by producing an increase of reflected light from 87% to a phenomenal 95%. |

Chromophare D 650/C 452 Suitable for many surgical procedures, the C 452 is offered in combination with the CHROMOPHARE?D 650. With its 2 x 400 polygon reflector elements, the CHROMOPHARE?D 650, as the main light, provides a deep shadowless illumination into the deepest of wound cavities. To complement the main light, the C 452 is offered as a supplement, or to provide lighting for an additionaloperating site. The newly developed "turning arch" lamp supports make light adjustment and maneuver- ability the easiest ever! |

Safety and Simplicity Simple control panels, mounted outside of the sterile area, and on the lighting suspension allow for easy adjustment of light intensity, illuminated area and on and off controls. The control panel is further simplified by user friendly symbols. A red indicator light in the lamp housing indicates the reserve lamp is in use, and that the main lamp should be changed immediately. |
